This is one of the simplest recipes you’ll ever follow.
These potatoes will be the best baked potatoes you’ve ever eaten!
INGREDIENTS
4-6 Idaho Russet Potatoes 70-80 count
1Tbs- cold bacon grease
1- liberal sprinkling- Lawhorn’s Signature Seasoning
DIRECTIONS
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees, put rack in the middle or top position.
Wash and dry the spuds.
If you have latex kitchen gloves, put them on, if not, wash your hands after you’re done prepping the potatoes. Take a small dollop of the cold bacon grease and evenly rub the grease all over the potato. Just a very light film will do. Too much grease and it will burn in the oven. You want just enough of a coating to make the potato look wet. This will allow the seasoning to stick to the skin.
Liberally coat the entire potato with Lawhorn’s Signature Seasoning.
Bake for one hour or until a butter knife pushes through the middle of the potato with little resistance. If you like a crisper skin like I do, cook them for an additional 20-25 minutes or so.
Top the spud with your favorite toppings and enjoy an incredible baked potato!!
