Pan-Seared Pork Chops
Servings: 1 chop per person (1″ to 1 1/2″ thick)
Liberal sprinkling of Lawhorn’s Signature Seasonings
on both sides of pork chop
2 tbs. clarified butter
1 cup seasoned all-purpose flour (Add Lawhorn’s Signature Seasoning until you can see pepper flecks in flour – approx. 2 tbs.)
1. Pre-heat oven to 450°.
2. Dust both sides of pork chops with seasoned flour.
3. Heat butter on medium-high heat in a non-stick sauté pan.
4. Sauté pork chops until light brown on both sides. (1-2 minutes on each side). Do not let butter get too hot as to start to smoke and burn. This will change the flavor of the butter.
5. If pork chops are less than 1″ thick, check as they may already be done. If thicker than 1″ thick, check as they may already be done. If thicker than 1″, place in hot oven for 3 to 4 minutes until internal temperature is 140°. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
