Servings: 8-12


  • 2 lbs catfish fillets, cut into 2″ x 4″ strips
  • 4 cups corn flour or self rising flour
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tbs of Lawhorn’s Signature Seasonings



  1. Put the 3 tbs of Lawhorn’s Signature Seasonings and the buttermilk into a bowl big enough to mix the fish in
  2. Season the catfish liberally with the Lawhorn’s Signature Seasonings
  3. Put the catfish in the egg wash and buttermilk liquid
  4. Roll the fillets in the corn flour, shaking off any excess
  5. Gently put them in the fryer for about 8-10 minutes for a crunchy texture
