• 1 lb fresh whole string beans, stringed
  • 1/2 Bermuda onion(red onion), 1/8 inch julienne
  • 1/2 stick real butter
  • 2 tbs Lawhorn’s Signature Seasonings


  1. Wash and string the green beans
  2. “Blanch” the green beans by putting them in a microwave-safe bowl with a 1/4 cup of water and wrap tight with plastic wrap
  3. Microwave for 3 to 4 minutes until they are a crisp, bright green
  4. Carefully remove and shake water off of them
  5. Turn oven on to medium-high heat, and melt butter in a large non-stick frying pan
  6. Mix onions with the butter, and saute for 1 minute
  7. Add the green beans and Lawhorn’s Signature Seasonings
  8. Turn heat down to low and cover
  9. Stir frequently until your desired tenderness is reached
